Cope

Delivery

Since 92 Ohio Icon

Cope Delivery has been in business safely delivering products since 1992. In October of 2022, Emily Detmer purchased Cope Delivery in hopes of helping small businesses around the Miami Valley. Cope Delivery has been successful for many years, however, its focus was on its existing, yet successful customer base.  Emily heard and saw the need for other small businesses to get the same service at the same great price.  Emily’s vision was to continue that same success while growing the business.

Today, Emily and Tony have added 3 vehicles to start bringing that vision to life.  Cope has also added 3 drivers to its team to extend services for those same great customers. Cope’s 3-year plan is to continue to grow the business by adding partnerships with local businesses, not just adding customers.

OWNER

Emily Detmer is owner of Cope Delivery. Emily graduated from Wright State with her Master’s in Education in 2008. After teaching for many years Emily took time away to enjoy raising her three children. As she explored options to reenter the work force, she saw an opportunity in helping small businesses, like her husband’s, close the gap with logistical problems. The more businesses she talked to during the pandemic, the more she realized of the need. After years of planning and research she started looking at purchasing an existing business. The task was larger than first thought as she struggled to find a business that aligned with her vision of small business first mentality. After planning with Tony and what his experience in driving brought, she was able to find the perfect fit.  In 2022 her vision took the next step in purchasing Cope Delivery. This is a decision that Emily nor Tony have ever thought twice about.

Emily resides in Springboro with her husband Matt. They have three children who are all very active in several sports. She enjoys traveling for both soccer and hockey tournaments for her children as well as vacationing at the beach. With the perfect work-life balance you will find Emily enjoying watching her kids’ sporting events, volunteering at school, going to King's Island as well as entertaining friends and family.

Emily will continue her 3-year vision in helping small businesses by building successful and affordable partnerships. In the first year she has already added 3 drivers and vehicles, however she will be the first to tell you that growth, although exciting, must to be controlled for quality.
